Q: Are you accepting new patients?

North Main Family Dental loves new patients! We are always accepting new dental patients to our clinic without the need for a referral, and we look forward to the privilege of being your Airdrie Dental Health provider. Our team is dedicated to providing you and your entire family with quality dental care.

Q: Why do I need to see the dentist on a regular basis?

Q: What types of dental services does North Main Family Dental offer?

Q: Will you accept payment from my insurance company?

Dental insurance benefits are used to help our patients cover some or all of the costs associated with their dental care. Because not all dental insurance plans are the same, it important for you to understand your specific plan details before your appointment. Most dental plans cover some but not all of the cost of your dental care. The dental fees billed for our services at North Main Family Dental are the usual and customary fees charged to all our patients, whether you have dental insurance or not. Your particular policy may cover treatments and services at a fixed fee schedule, which typically does not coincide with our usual fees. In these cases, the difference in fees not covered by your insurance company becomes your responsibility to pay and will be invoiced to you once we receive payment from your dental plan.

Q: What should I bring to my first visit to North Main Family Dental?

Please ensure that you bring your dental insurance cards along with your plan details. Our office administrators will do their best to help you understand your coverage details and whether your plan allows for the assignment of benefits.

Q: What payment options are available to me?

We require payment in full at the time of treatment. We accept MasterCard, Visa, and Interac (Debit). Our Dental Club is also an exciting way to plan and budget for your dental needs.

Q: Will joining the Dental Club benefit me if I am self-employed or do not have insurance?

If you are without dental benefits, you may be inclined to forgo dental services. As a member of the Dental Club, you can budget a small amount each month and ensure you and your family get your twice-annual dental exams and cleanings without the inconvenience of managing a large expense all at once. We can also show you options on how to pay your Dental Club membership pre-tax through your company.

Q: What if I already have dental insurance? How will joining the Dental Club benefit me?

If you have insurance, it is often frustrating to find that the coverage you have is not sufficient to cover all your needs. Restrictions, deductibles, and limits often mean you need to shortchange the care you want. By joining the Dental Club, you pay a fixed amount each month and know that you can get preventative cleanings and exams that ensure your dental health. Each time you come in for treatment, we simply submit your billings to the insurance company. You receive your reimbursement directly from them. Our staff will be more than happy to show you how to structure your insurance coverage so you can maximize the benefits you receive. Often, patients find it beneficial to pay out of pocket for routine preventative dentistry, saving their limits for other work such as fillings, crowns or bridges. We would be happy to show you how to best take advantage of your specific situation.

Q: What is included in My Dental Club Membership?

We are pleased to offer the following with your monthly membership:

  • Two appointments per year
  • Annual oral exam
  • All necessary x-rays
  • Oral cancer screening
  • Periodontal assessment for gum disease
  • Consult for cosmetic dentistry options (if required)
  • Scaling (cleaning) 3 units per appointment
  • Polish to remove stains, and
  • Fluoride application if desired

Q: What does the Dental Club Cost?

The North Main Dental Club is divided into the following age groups:

  • ADULT $59/mth
  • YOUTH 12-18 YRS $56/mth
  • CHILD UP TO 12 YRS $29/mth

Q: What is the best way for me to budget for the dental needs of my family?

North Main Family Dental is happy to provide a detailed treatment plan with the associated costs clearly outlined so that you can budget for each appointment accordingly. We can also prioritize treatments so that you can attend to the most urgent dental needs right away and then plan further treatments over time.
