North Main Family Dental is pleased to offer Airdrie Dental Bridges as a functional and aesthetically pleasing option to replace your missing teeth.
A Dental Bridge, also known as a fixed partial denture, is a restorative dental treatment used to replace one or more missing teeth in the same area by permanently joining adjacent natural teeth or dental implants next to the teeth being treated. There are many types of dental bridges available, depending on how it is made and the particular way in which it anchors to adjacent teeth. The best option for you depends on your specific situation, and Dr. Richelle Bedier will thoroughly examine your teeth to identify the best type of dental bridge for your situation.
Dental Bridges are attached to the teeth on either side of the missing tooth or teeth (called the abutment teeth). The abutment teeth are reduced in size and appropriately shaped to accommodate the dental bridge, which will look very similar to the size and shape of the original teeth. An impression will be taken of the teeth and sent off to our dental lab for processing. To protect your teeth and the aesthetics of your smile until your new dental bridge is made, we will make a custom temporary bridge for you to wear. The new bridge usually takes between 1-2 weeks to be completed, at which point the temporary bridge is removed, and the final bridge is permanently cemented or fused in between the abutments to replace the missing tooth or teeth in that area. We primarily use full porcelain dental bridges, but there are cases where a dental bridge can be made from gold, metal alloys, or a combination of these materials.

A Dental Bridge not only restores the overall appearance of your teeth but also restores the proper function of your teeth and prevents the surrounding teeth from drifting out of position and into the space created by the missing teeth. The best candidate for a dental bridge is someone with one or more missing teeth and good overall dental hygiene. A dental bridge requires special attention to hygiene at home, which includes flossing under the bridge. We also monitor how your dental bridge is functioning with regular dental visits and professional hygiene appointments.
We know that your smile is important to you and replacing missing teeth with one of our Dental Bridges is one of the many dental health services that we offer at North Main Family Dental.
WE INVITE YOU TO CHOOSE NORTH MAIN FAMILY DENTAL FOR YOUR AIRDRIE Dental Bridges NEEDS!
